SHE’S GOT CURB APPEAL

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in The Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous, but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she inadvertently catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…

HE’S A FIXER UPPER

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance — without burning down the house?

I FLIPPING LOVE YOU, set in the Shacking Up world, follows two people, both working in real estate, who find themselves vying for the same properties in the Hamptons, leading to a sometimes-not-so-friendly competition.

My Rating: 3.5 Stars

Show of hands, how many of you have read this series? Hmm, less than I’d hoped for. Alright, if you have read this series, you’ll know how RIDICULOUSLY HOT the last book was. Hooking Up was…wow. Just freaking wow. Lex was domineering and sexy and just yummy. Now I know that not all books in a series will have the same kind of kinky sex. I actually appreciate that, because I don’t want copy paste sex in the romance books I’m reading. But if the second book in a series gives me the tingles, I like to hope that the next book will too!

I Flipping Love You was a cute book. The premise is adorable, the two MCs meet when Rian’s twin sister pulls a hit and run on Pierce’s Lotus. It was definitely a meet cute, if yo can get past $3k worth of damage to such a gorgeous car. Right off the bat, I loved their banter and chemistry. Pierce was kind of a dick and Rian dished it right back out, never backing down.

The progression of their romance was adorable as well. They actually kind of had a series of meet cutes, including one in a Speedo. While I loved their chemistry on their dates, I didn’t love their chemistry in bed. Or on the dryer…or beach…or couch. Additionally, I found myself getting really frustrated with Rian at times. Pierce was a total sweetheart, and was open and communicative with her throughout the book, but she still doubted him and withheld things. Even when he finally did discover her shocking secret, he was a total cinnamon roll about it. I just felt like either he should’ve been less understanding, or she should have been more trusting. I’m not sure I’m wording that correctly, but there it is!

My Takeaway: Overall it was a cute, light read! I finished it in one sitting and found myself smiling more often than not. Pierce and Rian were feisty and hilarious together. I hope we get her sister’s book next!
