Puck Shy – Teagan Hunter

I’m having the definition of a bad year.

Game Six loss costing my team the Cup? Check.
Getting arrested and ruining my image? Check.
Almost getting run over after my car breaks down? Oh, look—a hat trick.

My contract is up with the Carolina Comets this year, and I need to get it together if I want to stay with the team.

I need relaxation, not a relationship.

But when I’m scrolling on a dating app and stumble across the pretty girl who almost ran me over, I know I can’t let her walk away this time.

Harper is funny, smart, and doesn’t care about hockey.

I’m not supposed to be focusing on anything other than my career, yet I can’t get Harper off my mind.

I know I shouldn’t fall for her…but I think I already have.

Teagan Hunter books are always guaranteed to make me laugh. Seriously, every single book of hers has me laughing out loud at least once. She has seriously unbeatable banter in every single one of her books and this one was no exception. The other thing that I can always count on when I pick up one of Teagan’s books is that it will be a one sitting read. She always finds a way to make sure that I’m immediately invested in the characters, and I love it.

I adored Collin and Harper’s story, and the way that they met was too cute. Honestly, the perfect way for a horror movie fan to meet a guy. Collin was the perfect mix of ridiculously sweet, and alphahole. AND he’s a dirty talker, which you know we love here.

Harper was funny, relatable, and easy to connect with as a character. I got a bit frustrated with her towards the end, but she redeemed herself in a really fun way. Can I also just say that I loved her best friend Ryan SO MUCH? The relationship they had made me stupidly happy, so I’m obviously thrilled that Ryan is getting her own love story next. She honestly might be one of my favorite Teagan characters to date, and I have a feeling her romance will be one of my favorite tropes – grumpy x sunshine.

Also, if you’ve been a Teagan fan from day one, our favorite Goat DILF makes a cameo or two.
